Lynn
Jamgochian, a painter for
15 years. Through
the painting process and physical
engagement of the materials;
my work has evolved into various
styles. Whimsical children's
illustration to photo realism;
from delicate attention to
detail to thick painterly
strokes with a pallete knife. Using
oil to create images up to
6' x 6', the inspiration
for my subjects and the colors
of my palette are sparked
from nature and life around
me. A quirky poem or the
smell of cookies just out
of the oven, a silly tune
or the shadows cast on a building,
the patterns created by various
objects together. All of
these things evoke memories.
I try to elicit emotion in
the viewer, taking them to
another time and place, just
for a moment, then the moment
is gone.... |
